  • Photos: Shugborough Hall and gardens on a sunny day

Shugborough Is a fantastic estate in Stafforrdshire co-managed by National Trust and the County Council. The house itself was the home of Lord Lichfield and has many of his photographs and personal items.

But there’s much more than that – there’s a working rare breed farm, temples in the wider estate (including the Chinese house and bridge in my photo) and interesting museums. Well worth a visit.

Photos all taken with iPhone and Camera+. All have clarity scene mode applied and assorted other filters.

  • Accidental Photo: Albert Dock, Liverpool

    P138

Didn’t mean to take this picture of the paving and chain link fence but I think it works.

Taken with iPhone 4 and Camera+. Used Clarity mode, golden ratio crop and X-Pro filter.

  • Photos: Haytor & Weymouth with added Clarity

Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor and Weymouth beach. Both taken with iPhone and both just edited using the new Clarity feature in Camera+. Really livened up what had been lying around as slightly flat shots.

After the morning fog we now have blue skies and warmth.

Beautiful early Spring day on the Chester city walls.

  • Photo – Tintern Abbey (#camerabag)

    Tintern_abbey

More experiments with Camerabag for Mac. This time the photo is of Tintern Abbey – a beautiful ruin in the Wye Valley (very popular tourist spot in the 1800’s painted by JMW Turner and had a poem about it written by Wordsworth). I’ve visited there a couple of times and this shot was taken last Autumn when the Wye Valley glowed with the reds and golds of Autumn.

Filters used for this B&W effect are Cinema -> Magazine -> Mono -> Silver with the reprocess option on.

  • Photo – Rievaulx Abbey (#camerabag)

    Rievaulx_abbey_2

The beautiful ruins of Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire lead to a number of great photo opportunities. This shot was taken with a Sony A200 and edited using CameraBag for Mac. Filter combination was Silver -> Instant -> ColorCross

  • Photos – an illustration of Desktop Camerabag’s reprocess filter

The same flower image. The original was taken at Clumber Park at the end of last summer and is a mass of blue-purple chrysanthemums. The others have been post-processed using CameraBag for Mac using the same filters. In order these were Instant -> ColorCross -> Lolo -> Cinema -> 1974.

Thanks to the mystic voodoo that is the reprocess button you can end up with completely different effects. One is faded greys and bleached greens, the others vibrant fuschia, red and lime. Very cool software.
