Photo: A sunny day in St Ives, Cornwall
Taken on 11th May 2011 whilst I was on a weeks vacation staying in an apartment in St Ives. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and turquoise seas as I walked along the sea wall into the town. Beyond the harbour in the distance on the right you can see Godrevy lighthouse and the hills stretching past the towans towards St Agnes. I think this is my favourite coastline anywhere in the world.
Photo taken with Sony A33 and Tamron 18-250mm zoom lens taken at 18mm, ISO 100, f/11 and 1/200. Minor corrections to levels in iPhoto but no other editing.

Photo: Blurry trees in Sherwood Forest
Found this when going through photos – I must have accidentally taken a shot as I was turning around in Sherwood Forest. I actually rather like the blurred motion effect and the pattern of white and green lines so I thought I’d keep it.

Photo: Farmhouse kitchen – still life
I was editing photos for uploading to flickr and came across this one taken at Shugborough Hall on April 10th 2011. There was just something fabulous about the way the contents had been arranged by the National Trust that worked really well with the low light in the kitchen.
