Words to live by from William Morris

And that’s why I don’t have any William Morris in my house!

Ok, sort of joking there as if I lived in an Arts & Craft House I probably would consider some Morris prints but it wouldn’t look right in my home.

This quote occurred to me when looking at those twitter accounts that post architecture and terrible homes. I think too many people tend to focus on the useful and what they think will “sell” and forget to think about what they like. There’s nothing wrong with art for its own sake, clash colours and styles as much as you like. Trust me, you’ll be happier if you surround yourself by things you find beautiful!
